It's a weird deal. The Cubs were reportedly at 4 years $110 million in January. I think Boras might have screwed the pooch on a few guys; rumors were $200M for Arrieta at the winter meetings. And Moustakas only got a 1-year extension at $6.5M? What? Thanks, Scott.
The Tribune thinks the deal stinks. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports...313-story.html
Forbes thinks it's a creative triumph. https://www.forbes.com/sites/waynemc...-jake-arrieta/
:dunno:
We'll find out if it was a good deal or not when he pitches during the season. In the end, job performance is the only thing that really matters.
Opening Day!
Phillies @ Braves @ 4:00PM EST. Nola and Teheran are the starting pitchers. It's on TV. The only thing better would be if I was in Atlanta to watch it live and in living color.
Why would you want to watch the game and In Living Color at the same time?
Cause Homey the Clown can make me laugh in between innings.
Boo, the Phillies lost.
:sad2:
and handy-man :bwaha:
Red Sox melted down and the Rox lost too! :woot:
:(
Well, we won the 2nd game of the season... the Phillies' bullpen sucks. Everything else is alright...
Well, the Sox rebounded after blowing the game on opening day to take the last 3 from Tampa. Starting pitching is looking good so far for the Sox.
BoSox blew out the Yankees last night 14-1 to improve to 9-1 on the season (with 9 straight wins), first time in franchise history they have ever been 9-1
The Phillies are .500.
