Obesity is definitely a health crisis. I think the difference is obese people tend to be ridiculed to the point of totally giving up and have far greater chance of being emotionally abused over their weight.. This doesn't happen to smokers and drinkers..

Well, I agree. I was saying that people who suggest that being obese is ok are encouraging poor health practices. Perhaps my post wasn't very clear...
