He seems fine this morning.
The wife heard the same noise after letting one of the dogs out this morning. Sure enough there were 2 more. One of them appears in as good shape as last nights, the third one didn't make it.
With the daylight I was able to find the nest, a small depression in the middle of the yard lined with fur and grass clippings. I searched but couldn't find any more babies, hopefully there was only the three.
We see rabbits all over the rest of the yard all the time but never anything in the fenced in dog yard. I can't believe the mother went in there with all the dog scent to give birth.
Now I have 2 bunnies to raise, at least they are both males.
