Watch the hospitals and morgues fill up and overflow in 4-6 weeks. I predict a complete state of emergency in 6-8 weeks for Texas and (especially) Florida.

The piece my tiny brain fails to understand is the argument that we are expecting to stop transmission, That is a COMPLETELY different argument than where we started.
"Flatten the curve" was the objective. It was not "stop transmission".
So, um... I'm confused.
And this game of "we handled it better" is silly and self-righteous bullshit.
In fairness it 'worked' for small country like New Zealand.
I don't know about preening but these areas - or countries can return to a relatively normal life much sooner while the rest of us slog it out. It's hard not to be envious and think what could we have done better. I haven't known of any area to rub their victory in though, other than jokingly :dunno:
