Yep. It's gonna be a car maintenance year.
One of my guys tried to kill himself today. Never gets easier.
2006, bought used in late 2008. Paid off in record time (I don't like debt, so I tend to kill it as fast as possible. My five year loan was paid off in a year and a half) Had to replace the radio right off the bat (warranty job). Just replaced the battery. Needs new tires, currents are dry rotting. Haven't really been driving it a whole lot, and haven't changed the oil in a year and a half (thanks Covid). Other fluids may need to be replaced. The headlights are glazed over (thanks oxidation). I bought new ones, but I can't put them in, because the whole front end needs to be disassembled to get to them (thanks Honda). While a buddy was checking the headlight situation out for me, he told me I had a whole mess of rust that I need to mind (thanks coastal Georgia). Needs a paint job (again thanks coastal Georgia AND Honda). I replaced the brakes pads a while back, so I should be good on them and the rotors. If the tires are dry rotted, then any hoses may need to be replaced as well.
What I know I need: oil change, new tires, paint job, headlights replaced, general tune up.
What I might need: other fluids changed, rusted parts replaced.
Yeek!!
Just got back from my brain stab, it actually wasn't that bad all things considering. But maybe that's because I got it done at an actual hospital and not some drive thru Stab 'n Jab.
Well, she got to her hundredth year at least.....RIP gram  I shoulda stopped and got her that yellow rose last sunday when I thought of it, those were her fav.
