I keep reading all these stories now about if there is mass mail-in voting that it could be days or weeks until we know who won the election. They're saying that Trump could appear to win on election day but then all these mail-in votes start showing up and being counted and they will all be for Biden and it will swing states that were originally won by Trump over to Biden and the whole thing could be litigated in court for a very long time. FFS back in the 50's they could tell who was President on the same day as the election, but now in 2020 we have to wait days or weeks or months to know? Let's take a giant step backwards shall we and look like those countries in South America or Africa that can't have a fair election without UN advisors being on the ground and monitoring everything.
Here's how mail-in voting is SUPPOSED to work. In Colorado, we are a 100% mail-in ballot state. They mail them to you and you can either (A) mail them back in (B) drop them off in locked and secured ballot drop off boxes scattered throughout your precinct or (C) drop them off at the polling station on election day. Now it says right on the ballot that it must be sent in time to be received on election day and any ballot received AFTER election day is invalid. We receive our ballots a good 3 weeks before election day here, so there is absolutely no excuse to have to wait until the last minute to get your ballot in. There should be no "late incoming" ballots, there should be no ballot harvesting that almost always are (D) ballots that don't get counted for days, there should be no ballot counted that wasn't cast AND received by the county after election day. End of.

I think the fear of the right is that typically low income people will typically not even go to vote. If ballots are automatically sent out then you dont know who is really filling out the ballot and two now these people will have an equally represented voice.

Former Vice President Joe Biden used an unfortunate choice of words Thursday while visiting Kenosha, Wis. in the aftermath of the police shooting of Jacob Blake.
Biden's speech aimed at addressing racial unrest veered into talking about inequities in taxes at one point. He stopped himself from laying out his tax policy in detail, saying if he goes on any longer "they'll shoot me."
The Democratic nominee, who has been prone to gaffes, billed his first trip to Wisconsin during the 2020 campaign as a moment for healing in the wake of racial unrest and violence.
He met with community leaders at Kenosha's Grace Lutheran Church and listened to their concerns on topics like economic inequality, restoring faith in policing, criminal justice reform and improving education.
Biden also visited the family of Blake, a 29-year-old Black man whose shooting by police last month set off another round of protests and in, some instances, riots and violence in Wisconsin and elsewhere.
President Trump visited Wisconsin earlier this week but didn't meet with Blake's family. Instead, he centered his message on supporting police and rebuilding damaged businesses.
Biden said he's seeking common ground that Trump is incapable of reaching with “law and order” rhetoric and repeated refusals to acknowledge racism in America.
“I can’t say if tomorrow God made me president, I can’t guarantee you everything gets solved in four years,” Biden said. But “it would be a whole better, we’d get a whole lot further down the road” if Trump isn’t re-elected.
“There’s certain things worth losing over,” he concluded, “and this is something worth losing over if you have to — but we’re not going to lose.”
