    What? You don't think that the Teamsters would step in and at least try and slow down their cash cow, I mean members, from losing their jobs? Of course automation in so many things is inevitable, but as long as there's money to be made for the union, don't you think they would try and delay it? And of course eventually the small trucking firms and independent drivers will just go out of business because they won't be able to compete.

    There are already members of congress talking about slowing automation. Won't happen, or if it does, it will be futile. The unions (what little is left of them) can't stop job elimination from automation.

    You would be surprised, it costs us a fortune to drive a load cross country. anywhere from $5500 - $7000 one way.
