Seems like a cyclical progression without end
Preaching to the choir my friend. We hear the same thing about the illegal Mexicans here. Just grant them amnesty, they want to be a part of your country and be Americans. Yet everywhere you go, everything Mexican has worked its way here. We have Mexican grocery stores that sell only products from Mexico, and even the regular chain grocery stores have huge selections of Mexican products. Signs are in Spanish. There are multiple radio stations that are all in Spanish and play nothing but Mexican music. They all live together in Mexican communities, not integrating with everyone else. They all speak only Spanish and demand that everyone learn Spanish. There was a woman interviewed on the local news a few weeks ago for some story going on in her neighborhood. She has lived in Denver for 25 years and needed to speak through an interpreter because she didn't speak any English.

Obvious Left-Wingers Pile on Chuck Todd for Calling out Ocasio-Cortez

By Peter Hasson - The Daily Caller

MSNBC host Chuck Todd sparked a left-wing backlash by criticizing Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s rhetoric on immigration enforcement.

Ocasio-Cortez drew criticism after saying the U.S. is running “concentration camps” on the southern border.

“That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps,” Ocasio-Cortez said Monday in an Instagram Live video, referring to migrant detention centers. “The fact that concentrations camps are now an institutionalized practice in the home of the free is extraordinarily disturbing and we need to do something about it,” she added.

Todd criticized Ocasio-Cortez for defending the “concentration camps” label by drawing a distinction between concentration camps and death camps.

“Fair enough, but congresswoman: tens of thousands were also brutalized, tortured, starved and ultimately died in concentration camps. If you want to criticize the shameful treatment of people at our southern border, fine. You’ll have plenty of company. But be careful comparing them to Nazi concentration camps. They’re not at all comparable, in the slightest,” Todd said in a segment Wednesday.

Todd’s chiding of Ocasio-Cortez was met with a left-wing backlash online, including from the congresswoman.

“Well, @chucktodd – the fact that you slipped in ‘Nazi’ when I never said that is pretty unfortunate,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in response.

“Almost as unfortunate as the fact that you spent this whole time [without] discussing DHS freezers, ‘dog pounds,’ missing children, & human rights abuses that uphold use of this term,” she added.

Other left-wingers joined in bashing Todd for his criticism of Ocasio-Cortez.

“Genuinely one of the most shameful @chucktodd segments I’ve ever seen,” wrote Vox writer Carlos Maza.

“This is what happens when you treat ‘neutrality’ as a virtue — you end up with journalists who lack the moral courage to name evil when they see it, and who care more about semantics than humanity,” Maza added.

“Most of these kids will be damaged for life. Shame on you @chucktodd. Lives are being destroyed,” Hollywood filmmaker Judd Apatow wrote on Twitter.

“Would someone get this gutless little shit Chuck Todd a spot on the Fox and Friends couch so he can do this shit without continuing to embarrass the Meet the Press name?” wrote Democratic strategist Adam Parkhomenko.

I pulled into this medium sized strip mall and every sign was in a language other than English. Mostly Punjabi.

Without exaggeration every single sign in the mall. I couldn't tell the dry cleaners from the food places from the whatever places.

Up here we have a law. It's either English only on signs as that's our primary national language or English/French bilingual signs.

I have to say I felt a little lost in the city I've lived in for 50 years...not sure if that's right
We've got several of those here too. And my wife has discovered you basically cannot work in the hospitals in some parts of town without speaking Chinese or Hindi (especially in her field of geriatrics as there are so many elderly folks who never learned English living here). It really doesn't impress me, though part of me thinks that if I HAD to leave my country to support my family or escape turmoil, I'd probably group up with Canadians/Americans wherever I went too (though I like to think I'd make more effort to learn the language and culture, and we've made it to easy not to do that).

Anyways, with that said... I LOVE going to these malls Some of the best food court food I've had in my life is in Richmond. It's like traveling to Asia without going on a long haul flight. Food at these places is out of this world if you're into authentic Asian cuisines and drinks.

Just saw a news piece saying we (Canada) let in the most immigrants/refugees last year.

Not sure who made the comparison in terms of countries.

Ocasio-Cortez Refuses Invite To Visit Concentration Camps With Holocaust Survivor

By Ryan Saavedra - The Daily Wire

On Sunday, socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) declined an invitation from a Holocaust remembrance group to visit Nazi concentration camps with a Holocaust survivor, suggesting that it was part of a "far-right" scheme designed for "political gain."

Ocasio-Cortez made the remarks in response to a tweet from Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who was kicked off his congressional committees by Republican leaders after remarks he made about white nationalism.

In a tweet tagging Ocasio-Cortez and linking to a report from The Hill, King encouraged Ocasio-Cortez to accept the invite from the Holocaust remembrance group.

King wrote: ".@AOC I went to Auschwitz & Birkenau with Eddie Mausberg & Jonny Daniels with In the Depths. I went with a deep understanding of the Shoah and had a profound personal experience. Please accept their offer."

Ocasio-Cortez responded by saying she was rejecting the offer as she believed it was part of how "the far-right manipulates these moments for political gain."

Ocasio-Cortez wrote: "The last time you went on this trip it was reported that you also met w/ fringe Austrian neo-Nazi groups to talk shop. So I’m going to have to decline your invite. But thank you for revealing to all how transparently the far-right manipulates these moments for political gain."

It's important to note that King was not inviting her to visit the Nazi concentration camps with him but rather was encouraging her to accept the offer from the Holocaust remembrance group. The article from The Hill that King included in his tweet stated:

A Holocaust commemoration group on Friday invited Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) to tour the Nazi death camp Auschwitz with a 93-year-old survivor.

Jonny Daniels, the founder of From the Depths, wrote the open invitation to the progressive freshman asking her to participate in the educational tour during her summer recess from Congress.

From the Depths president Edward Mosberg, a Holocaust survivor, would travel with her for the tour, which includes visits to the Auschwitz-Birkenau, Mauthausen and Majdanek concentration camps.

"We at From The Depths, have brought over 100 international parliamentarians to visit the German Nazi Concentration and Extermination camps, parliamentarians from across the political spectrum, including over 20 Representatives of the United States Congress, both Republicans and Democrats alike," Daniels wrote in the invitation to Ocasio-Cortez. "From The Depths is the only foundation dealing with Holocaust memory, memorial and education run entirely by millennials, we feel that this would be great opportunity for you to learn more about this horrendous past, and understand how it impacts lives and education until today."

"In the invitation, Daniels wrote: "The opportunity you will have of visiting the German Nazi Concentration Camps along with Mr. Mosberg, a 93 year old survivor of history's most brutal genocidal regime, will enable you to become a witness of a witness, something that our generation will sadly be the last to do, as result of the fact that the survivors are passing away at an ever increasing rate," Daniels concluded. "We await your response and look forward to learning together with you about this painful history."

Typical. Instead of learning anything the go to response is to deflect and attack.

It doesn't matter what I said or did, look over there at what THEY are doing.
