DUI: “I’ve been ‘day drinking’ all day, just left my house to go drink some more”, per police.

DUI Arrest: Metro Police say 26-year-old Erika Laman told them she had been “day drinking [wine] all day” before leaving her apartment to go drink some more wine at another location. She got into a wreck along the way.
Metro police responded to a non-injury wreck on July 11th and observed the driver of one of the vehicles, Erika Laman, to have an odor of alcohol coming from her breath as she spoke to them, per a police report. Police say she admitted to them ‘day drinking’ wine ‘all day’, and was headed to continue drinking at another location when she wrecked.
Laman declined all field sobriety tests and breath sampled, and there was no circumstance under which a warrant could be obtained. Due to the visible indicators, Laman was taken into custody and booked on the charges of driving under the influence and violation of the implied consent law. She is free on pre-trial release.
