Warning Do not use Big Penis, regulators warn: 'Natural' sex stimulant contains undeclared Viagra ingredient that could leave unwitting users with dangerously low blood pressure

By Mia De Graaf Health Editor for Dailymail.Com

Do not use Big Penis, US regulators are warning Americans.

The product, promoted as a natural male sexual stimulant, is available online and does not require a prescription.

But inspectors with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) found the tablets, sold globally, contain undeclared sildenafil - the active ingredient in Viagra - which is so potent it requires a doctor's approval.

While that may be welcome news to some users, health officials warn the powerful ingredient could lower blood pressure to dangerous levels, with sinister consequences for users with conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.

When it comes to the actual impact of popping unregulated pills of sildenafil, it's uncharted territory.

The drug works by dilating blood vessels to improve blood flow to the penis; it can also be prescribed to lower blood pressure in the lungs.

But US regulators determined in the 90s that a doctor was needed as gatekeeper for the ingredient, primarily because many men with erectile dysfunction also have heart problems, and are likely on medications that might interact with sildenafil.

'We are learning more and more than erectile dysfunction could be a harboring of cardiac problems in the future,' Dr Premal Patel, a urologist at the University of Miami, told DailyMail.com in a recent interview.

'The same blood vessels providing blood to the heart [provide blood to] the penis.'

As a urologist, he says, it's part of the job to check patients' heart health too, and to be aware that drugs like Cialis or Viagra 'have side effects if you take them with medication.'

In the FDA warning, issued this week, regulators urged any patients who've suffered side effects after taking Big Penis to report it on their interactive form.

What a shock that an unregulated supplement promoted as a 'natural alternative' to the clinically tested, peer reviewed and proven medication is unsafe.

Chemistry and pharmaceuticals have become 4-letter words, and while being skeptical is fine, people who take this kind of shit because they 'don't trust real doctors and their big pharma' kind of deserve to have their heart rate fall out their cocks.

The're more trustworthy than the packs of 'supplements' you can find for sale on the counter at your local convenience store

I normally watch streaming versions of TV shows. One source is recorded from a local station in Florida and they leave in commercials sometimes.

For whatever reason there were tons of commercials for medical products, Viagra-like products included.

You've heard the jokes about side effects being worse than the product? I totally see that in some these commercials.

There was one for a Viagra counterpart and the announcer goes into this rapid fire, quiet voice and lists about 17 side effects at the end of the spiel.

I swear...it caused everything short of bleeding from the eyes and I'm only half joking

It made me look up the medication name because the ad never was clear on what the medication addressed. Yep, floppy dick

Yeah, it's been going on for quite awhile now, they allow pharmaceutical companies to advertise drugs on TV Here now, why, I have no idea. Probably so the hypochondriacs will rush to their doctor demanding the new drug. And yes, most of the time the side effects sound WAY worse than what they treat

In extreme cases, some people reported heart failure, limbs falling off, bleeding from the eyes, death, permanent loss of balance, cancer, random episodes of prolonged blindness, and itching.

I swear, one caused liver problems to the point of monthly blood tests to monitor..

It has to be a certain time of night/demographic.

Oh yeah I was watching the Amazing Race for the first time and it comes on around 8 or 9 pm Wednesday nights.

It was interesting watching a bunch of American commercials over and above the medical ones. Much different than our commercials up here.

Here in the Denver market, they run drug commercials all the time. It's crazy.

Did they show any of the local low budget commercials? Those are always hilarious
