Former Donald Trump adviser Steve Bannon charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud
yet another associate of Donald Trump in trouble with the law. Poor Don, such bad luck he has in picking friends
you're late
gotta keep certain things off the headlines, ya know
but in case that's not good enough,

To be clear, she got 2 months. Her husband got 5 months iirc, and a $250,000 fine. Thats half of what they paid to try and get her into UCLA.

Ok, so they played it down a bit for political purposes. A bit more like it, but still appears to be inequity for justice - perhaps not so much for these rich peeps getting lenient but throwing the book at poor people.
Falsifying an address to get your son into school would not get you into jail in Aus. Hell, they did it all the time at the elite public school I went to. The kid would just get expelled...the parents black-banned
Not quite apples to oranges when you get the whole story. You can read the whole thing here. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/ta...icity-huffman/In all, McDowell faced seven counts for the school incident and drug charges, which were resolved together with a plea deal in which she was sentenced to a total of five years behind bars, five years’ probation, and a 12-year suspended sentence. McDowell, unlike Huffman, also had a criminal record: a previous conviction for bank robbery and for having a weapon in a vehicle. McDowell’s record may have influenced her sentencing: “A person’s prior criminal history is taken into consideration in determining any subsequent plea agreement and the corresponding sentence,” Mark Dupuis, spokesman for the Connecticut state division of criminal justice told us in an email.
