I'm open to this but I have a problem with it. From wikipedia:

In the original, the thing could take over multiple hosts at the same time. It's separated parts could act independently. It's cells could take over a host and imitate it. Why change that?

If I'm not mistaken the splitface thing they find at the camp in the first movie is two people merged together in this movie. Which makes since because from what it showed in the original it had multiple limbs....so maybe it does imitate more than one of them at a time.

I just don't like the way the description is worded. It would suck if that was literally what goes on, since the possibility that anyone and everyone could've been "infected" at any given time was part of what made Carpenter's original so damn good... it kept you guessing. But maybe you're right, Doc. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

It came out today. I was gonna go see it earlier at a 2:00 afternoon matinee but I didn't feel like going out. I may go see it Sunday afternoon.
