30-year-old Zachary Marc Bron is charged with the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon of his girlfriend in Nashville on Sunday. Police say he left to buy drugs, then his girlfriend called his mother about his drug usage, at which point his mother called him, and he came back home and assaulted his girlfriend with a knife before taking the blade to himself.

Metro Police responded to 555 Church Street to a report of a boyfriend who had assaulted his girlfriend and fled the scene. Upon arrival, police met with Courtney Frazee, who police say was intoxicated at the time of the report. She told them her boyfriend, Zachary Marc Bron, of San Francisco, California, had been using what she believed to be cocaine and left the residence to buy more drugs. This upset her, so she called his mother, who also became upset and called her son, Courtney’s boyfriend, Zachary.

Zachary (‘Zach’) returned to the scene, upset, and is alleged to have grabbed the girlfriend by the neck, and pushed her up against a wall. She then reports that he took a knife and attempted to cut her with it before going into the bathroom and cutting his own wrists. Police noticed trace amounts of blood in the room. Zachary Marc Bron had fled the scene when they arrived, but they located him at 315 Union Street a short time later.

Zachary Marc Bron was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail, charged with felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He posted a $25,000 bond after the state-mandated 12-hour domestic violence hold.
