We had this circumcision debate before and my pro-circumcision attitude was in the minority. However, there are a lot of health benefits to having it done. Yes, it lowers HIV infection rates, along with lowering the chance of getting herpes and syphilis. It all decreases chances for infections, particularly urinary tract infections, and is generally much more hygenic. It even lowers the chance of getting cancer of the penis, and you don't want that.I had no idea that being circumcised reduces the risk 60% for getting HIV....
Furthermore, having only circumcised partners lowers a WOMANS chance of getting certain types of cancer as well as many routine types of vaginal infections.
So yes, there are many, many benefits to having a circumcised penis. Plus it looks cool. It's the sleek, streamlined race car of the penis world.
