    Warning Stock up!

I just had a few conversations. one with the people that were running my house. She's italian and her parents are doctors on the Frontline in Italy. People are f****** dying everywhere. they are basically just welding people in the houses/apartments in areas where it gets really bad. Esp. Cities. I wouldn't assume for a second that they wont do this in any Western country in the world that has a spike, warranted or not.

secondly, my dad's been gathering food for a lot of people flleeing back from overseas, friends in-laws my brother ( in quarantine for 2 weeks) and he's been watching the supermarkets on a daily basis. he's also pointed out the incidence of Corona is doubling basically every 4 days so you do the math.

I spent a couple of hours going around to supermarkets. Most of them were closed, and those that are open hardly have anything in terms of non perishables

You wont die, but if there's certain foods that you and love ones like and you want to live a life of dignity I would get at least a couple weeks worth. goodluck!

    10+

You're not asking the right question though.

Okay... what's the distribution of Italians' different age groups that have died from this virus?

I'm not sure. You could probably find more specific statistics on the website from that photo.

Is there a point to your questions?

My point is, Italy has a disproportionately high population of elderly people, people that will be far more susceptible to succumbing to Covid-19.

I just got back from Walmart. Wasn't busy at all but it appeared that in the first two hours they were open the crowds did a pretty good job of wiping certain shelves clean. Pizza, Pasta and cereal were wiped out. I still managed to get about $60 worth of food to tide me over for a bit.

The Sams Club parking lot was packed, other than that traffic is real light. Might try to get out to GFS tomorrow morning. Should probably get a couple cartons of smokes just in case they decide that tobacco companies aren't crucial businesses.

I get it. You're trying to rationalise why you can just be business as usual.

I have about 2 weeks of food on hand in case we were forced in to a lock down situation.

    Your attitude is showing.

I found toilet paper on the 5th store.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.

Since I've been spending 4 days at work and 3 at home every week, I currently have about two weeks (6 days) worth here at home. I still need to get some supplies for "up there" Will probably try and get at least a couple weeks worth for there as well.

Currently I'm thinking that IF we get a warning that they are gonna lock us down I will likely stay up there since it's considerably more isolated than here in the city.

I would like to bolt to the river but something about that makes me nervous...

It's the Corona you'd be drinking.
