    America was built on principles of freedoms and were givin a document by our founding fathers guaranteeing that we would retain those freedoms. The democrats want to renig on those promises and issue new ones to fit their objectives.

    I was 8, and I remember the union reps calling my gram trying to get her to promise to vote democrat. she told us that politicians are all crooks and not to let anyone ever tell us how to vote

    See, i really don't understand that argument at all - this is 2020 and you want to live by rules/guidelines written in the 1700s?

    They are pretty well written rules.....

    Amendment I
    Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    Amendment II

    Amendment IV

    Amendment V

    Amendment VI

    Amendment VII

    The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

    They were very simple guidelines that have stood the test of time - the Bill of Rights is every bit as relevant today as it was the day it was written. The ability to amend the Constitution was the mechanism to deal with anything unforeseen in the future.

    -anything not covered here is a State issue

    its rather brilliant, and were it not replaced at the end of the civil war with a set of corporate bylaws that resemble the original document, it likely would have been followed and not shat upon time and again by agent infiltrators. the USA would never have become the world's police, never would have had a federal reserve, social security, the gold confiscation, LBJ's socialist shit, the patriot act, the bank bailouts, Obamacare...

    I almost went with the I dont understand just how it is that since they're old, they somehow no longer apply, or somehow shouldnt apply, since they're old. It just feels like a logical fallacy to me. But its usually better to try and explain

    I'm a Teamster (Local 125) and was fucking amazed that my union backed Biden. My family all voted Trump today.

    I'll be keeping an eye on things. I voted this morning before I drove out to Odessa. Unfortunately the only channels I get at the apartment are local channels, and it looks like the local Fox channel isn't doing any coverage until 19:00.
