You can track the meme stocks in real time if you're interested:

    https://swaggystocks.com/dashboard/w...cker-sentiment

This tracks the most talked about stocks on r/wsb. Use this very much at your own risk. They are by their own admission complete morons.

Not sure why Wish is being talked about so much, haven't been browsing that sub much recently. Porky may know?

That list had SOFI high on it's list. SOFI tanked today. I guess the guys running this site are morons.

Basically. That link I sent is measuring the hive mind of the subreddit which now has 10 million members, so collectively they're morons rather than any particular guys running the site

Back to back weekly losses for the S&P. September is traditionally a big correction month. I'm holding cash, might be some sales here the next few weeks.

I feel the same... it seems too easy the last few years. But it's not realized profit until you sell, so I'm just waiting for a huge correction

True, I have been debating in my head if I should at least pull profits out. But I just keep letting it ride. Last week was scary after the China news but it all recovered to higher highs the next couple days

Ya Canada is certainly exposed to this shit going down over there. I've taken profits in a few more volatile stocks. I'm guess I'm so far from retirement though that even if my big blue chip stocks take a 2008 sized loss, unless the world really falls apart, I'm not going to sweat it. It would be nice to try and 'beat' a correction but that's not really realistic for a pleb like me

When taking profits, do you just take the gains or do you sell the entire lot?

Just depends on the stock for me as I'm sure it does for you.

If it's blue-chip, I don't plan to take gains out until I retire (Canadian banks, apple, amazon, defense stocks, big insurers, etc.) and reinvest dividends if there are any.

If it's a decent company that went on a wild run, I might lock in some gains, maybe enough so that my remaining stock are essentially free (I did that with PTON and PENN because I think they've probably peaked but don't totally want out). If it was a complete gamble to begin with and I was just on the bandwagon, I'll just sell the lot
