I enjoy all of the period references....they use and talk about some real products that existed during the time which is cool. I've only watched 4 episodes so I can't give it a thumbsup just yet. It's very well done in terms of reflecting the time, but it seems to be essentially a show about the ad execs being chauvinists and the wives 'supporting their hubby's'.
Some great nods to the time through the dialogue... At a kid's birthday party - *adult to child* Hey Billy why don't you go and play in the backyard with the other kids...I'm sure there's a BB gun and a peanut butter sandwich with your name on it...

Hatfields & McCoys Part I & II
Glad you enjoyed it. It's based on the true story of a real family affected by the War Between the States. No slaves involved. Whatsoever.
