It had been awhile since I watched season 1, but the g/f started watching it on Netflix, so I refreshed here and there on season 1 the last few weeks, but then she started season 2 this weekend and since there was nothing else to do, I watched it with her. It started out okay (season 2) but it devolved quickly and got waaaaaaay too complicated as it went. Then after the first 2 episodes of season three, it has completely jumped the shark.

It had been awhile since I watched season 1, but the g/f started watching it on Netflix, so I refreshed here and there on season 1 the last few weeks, but then she started season 2 this weekend and since there was nothing else to do, I watched it with her. It started out okay (season 2) but it devolved quickly and got waaaaaaay too complicated as it went. Then after the first 2 episodes of season three, it has completely jumped the shark.

Yeah they went way off third base in the end.. Im not sure I saw how the series ended and Im pretty sure I dont even care..

I'm on the last eps in season 2 and then it ends....some pretty serious/crazy/wacky/religious stuff going on.

Loved the way all of the episodes seemed like part of one large, good movie.

Finished two seasons of Carnivale..


It's nice to watch a series that never has a false note, everything from the expressions to the cinematography, depicting a small traveling carnival in the 1930's. It was also refreshing to see plot points connected, foreshadowing coming to pass without it feeling like they were reaching or trying to connect the dots. The two seasons had a start, middle and resolution of sorts....too bad they cancelled the series, it could have been great. It was a show about the supernatural, sprinkled with sex, pathos and humor.
