    strange....I read it was a 13 episode one-of series...

I guess that's why they've changed just about every single thing from the book, aside from the name.

The time frame in the book is less than 2 weeks...which is kinda the whole bloody point ffs

CBS Renews Under the Dome for Season 2
    by Natalie Abrams

CBS is staying Under the Dome!

The network has ordered a second season of the drama, which is based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. The 13-episode second season will kick off with an episode written by King. The drama takes a look at the lives of the residents of Chester's Mill, who have been mysteriously trapped under an impregnable dome.

"We're excited to tell more stories about the mystery of the dome and the secrets in Chester's Mill and are thrilled to have the master storyteller himself, Stephen King, tell the first one of next season," said CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler in a statement.

Over its first season, the series has been averaging 13.84 million viewers and a 3.5 in the 18-49 demographic.

Under the Dome airs Mondays at 10/9c on CBS.

This must be why he endorsed the changes without a fight. King usually hates TV and movie treatments of his books
