I think its about time they wrote in some beach themed episode, mainly to see Felicity and Laurel in bikinis

Also big props to the dude who plays Oliver. some of that training stuff they have him doing is pretty fucking intense!

I actually really like it, some of the acting/affects leaves a lot to be desired but all in all a good entertaining show. I am thinking its going down the same lines as The Following, if you have seen any of that?

Yes I watched the first season of The Following. Initially I thought it was good, I like Kevin Bacon as an actor...but then I thought it degenerated into a mishmash of serial killer ideas that had been done before.

I may not follow the second season

I can just see The Blacklist heading down the same lines... not so clear from the start but seems to be going that way.. cult following blah blah

Id watch the second season of the Following but like you, I felt the same towards the end... weird finish too.!

some mild discussion about the premise of The Following:

It was good at the outset with Joe planning things months in advance from prison...but then they focused on his relationship with his ex-wife, and her relationship with Bacon...I've read too many true stories of detectives that hunt serial killers and Bacon played that sort of damaged guy who's encountered the killer, got inside his head, caught him, and now is damaged for life...

If some of Joe's followers could think for themselves and be evil...and if we could have one cop who's NOT screwed up mentally from the past ...it would be a great show IMO

The Originals (spinoff of Vampire Diaries)

During VD, they introduced a storyline featuring the first vampires. Four children and their mother was a witch. Long story short, she cursed them with vampirism to save them.

The idea is cool because they're over 1000 years old and can't be killed by normal vampire slaying methods. Also cool because they sired every other vampire on the planet and if one of the originals is killed, every vampire they sired will die too.

Takes place in New Orleans and the show focuses on witches, vampires and werewolves. It's not as 90210 as Vampire Diaries and has some really dark moments/killings.

Watched the first 3 episodes and it looks good so far

as long as I remember it's based on a graphic novel or comic book, it's pretty good
An interesting thing to note: The Green Arrow is in the same universe as Batman and Superman, so their villains frequently appeared in the Green Arrow books. It's happening in the TV show too. The Black Canary was trained by Ra's al Ghul, and she is/was a member of the League of Assassins (aka the League of Shadows).

I thought this last episode was really cool. I was sure Diggle was gonna kill Deadshot.

And I like the guy who plays Laurel Lance's father (the cop). He used to be in a show on the Sci fi channel called the Dresden Files. It only lasted one season of a dozen or so episodes, and it was a cross between cheesy and Noir, but it was oddly addicting. I just think he's a good actor.
