I don't really care about any of the leads. I like some of the characters but it seems to keep going to the same well....this is the new shield, this is the real new shield...this is REALLY shield! ...gets a little tiring...

example - The character of Trip was secondary at best (considering they seemed to hire big black guys by the handfuls..) and they made such a big deal over his death...and the whole Avenger disconnect coupled with alien blood and technologies...it's like they have about 10 ideas floating around and then glom onto whatever works for the current plot. Grant...Coulson, May...good characters but they're too one dimensional and I can't care about them.

I instantly liked Agent Carter ...where I had to wait out a season to get into Shield...and even then some of the storylines like Fitz/Simmons were great...and then degenerated into - I'm going to be pissy towards you no matter how you treat me It got old 10 episodes ago, they were BEST friends ffs...

You think too much. Turn your brain off and just watch.

Call me a fanboy, but I like the show, solely for all the connections that they make with the movies and the future possibilities that could happen. I bet there's a little junk that's gonna make it to the Age of Ultron. Since Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch can't be Mutants (currently owned by Fox), they may be defined as Inhumans in Ultron. Now that the Inhumans have been introduced in SHIELD, they have something to link those two to without having to waste time trying to explain it in the film... and they're all definitely gonna build that up to the Inhumans movie, which is one of many films that is gonna lead into the Infinity Wars I and II. Everybody's gonna be in those two films.

Besides, Chloe Bennett and Adrianne Palicki are both hot.

Here's an example of me thinking too much..

    Better Call Saul

I love the premise, the actor and of course the show it originated from. It makes me an automatic fan..

Except that I notice things....recent ep used two terms ...'Just an FYI for you'...and 'He's a douche' and 'more of his douchebaggery'.

Trying to estimate the time frame for the scene and it takes me out of the moment because I'm sure no used those terms in the late 90's or early 2000's....

So in a show that's lauded as one of the best new dramas, I expect the writing to be of a certain caliber and not make those mistakes

now compared to a show like Agents of Shield, I don't really care and let a lot of things go along with my brain

Maybe it's not a mistake. Maybe it just didn't get around to your neck of the woods until much later.

I know I've seen FYI in the 90s.

Friends of mine and I have been calling people douchebags since the mid-80s. It might not have been in vogue in Canuckistan, but I guarantee you, us East coast boys in the USA were throwing it around quite a bit back in the 80s. And we had to have heard it from somewhere else, people older than us, 'cause I know for a fact that we didn't come up with it on our own. So your experiences notwithstanding, I promise you, it has been around for a while.

I noticed in one scene in the last BCS episodes that took place in Howard's office, he was typing an e-mail and he had a flat screen monitor. Now granted, a high powered law firm could certainly afford all the newest tech to show off to their clients and whatnot, but I'm pretty sure that when this show took place that flat screens weren't that prevalent at all.

Yeah don't get me wrong...I'm not one of those guys who notes that it's 1938 in the show and they were using 1939 cutlery from Sears and Roebuck

There's been a couple of times where I've noticed something a little off with them using a currently popular phrase or word

Same here, most of the time I don't even notice anything that would be out of place unless you were purposely nitpicking and looking for it. But the flat screen just stood out as being out of place to me for the time period the show would have taken place.

Some of those 'factual goofs' are brutal!!

"Movie takes place in 1929 and in scene number 175 at minute 106, the actor is wearing shirt manufactured in the last part of 1929, NOT March, when the scene was supposed to have taken place."

    According to Wiki
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_monitor

The first standalone LCD displays appeared in the mid-1990s selling for high prices. As prices declined over a period of years they became more popular, and by 1997 were competing with CRT monitors. Among the first desktop LCD computer monitors was the Eizo L66 in the mid-1990s, the Apple Studio Display in 1998, and the Apple Cinema Display in 1999. In 2003, TFT-LCDs outsold CRTs for the first time, becoming the primary technology used for computer monitors.[2]
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Better_Call_Saul

Set in 2002, Better Call Saul is about small-time lawyer James Morgan "Jimmy" McGill (Bob Odenkirk), six years before his appearance on Breaking Bad
So I dont think it would be a stretch for a high end law firm to have flat screens
