I was really disappointed in the whole battle scene. Seriously, was their entire strategy to hide in a burned out bar and let the baddies control the whole fight?

Did Disney go Woke and hire a bunch of inexperienced writers for this series? The first two seasons of the Mandalorian were so much better.

Same writer. Directing and acting play a huge part.

Trivia: James Gunn wrote the entire first season in 8 weeks during COVID quarantine out of pure boredom, not actually believing the series would ever get picked up.

That's what they did. I didn't see the tactical advantage, either. Somebody needs to read some war strategy books. I was seriously disappointed with the way they treated Boba Fett and Cad Bane. It's like they treated Bane as an afterthought. He should've been a main villain that lasted two to three seasons, running around and tearing junk up, and building up to a final showdown... and surviving. He's just way too cool of a character in the expanded universe and animated series to just cast aside. And they completely altered Boba Fett's character.

Disney's been woke. You could see it in the Marvel junk they've been putting out starting with Captain Marvel and Black Panther.

I think these spinoff series have relatively escaped the wokeness. It's funny just a follow up from my comment, I came across this article. They are blaming this particular director for f****** things up. I agree. Some episodes were clutzyly thrown together, others were great.

I can tolerate actors only hired for whatever "boxes" they check to a certain extent, my complaint comes in when the storyline is just stupid. Don't know how much that's the director or others.

Here we have experienced fighters and their only strategy is to clump together, hide and run away. FFS they should have had the high ground, set a couple traps at least. If not simply go on the offensive. Did the writer let his 8 year old little girl write the scene?

Ha. Yeah, I went through picking on everything in the episodes ( see below). It's actually pretty much the same writer throughout, so that's why I thought it might be the directing. Because they can decide pretty much everything, what to emphasise, what to omit.

But yeah, it was just a kind of a dumb episode
