That was quite possibly the absolutely most retarded episode of Star Trek ever made. And that's saying a lot because there have already been 4 full seasons of Discovery released.

I haven't bothered with Discovery since you've been trashing it for 4 full seasons of it. But yeah, I agree.

I take it you're both not into musicals? Coming from a family with music theatre performers even at a technical level that was one hell of a triumph to pull that episode off. A LOT of work.

Musicals have their place, but not in a science fiction show. They're pulling this crap because they've run out of compelling ideas to explore, which is what science fiction is all about.

I agree that they might have run out of ideas. Not being consistent with the canons doesn't bother me (ignorance is bliss), however a lot of the episodes are derivative. That's what I like about foundation series. If you didn't know the books you would have no idea what is about to happen.
