How long ago did we come here from Anothersite? Anyone know?

This forum started in Jan 2011 but I think there was a prior iteration of tehfalloutshelter before this one? My memory for this kinda thing stinks.
I farted around on G-man's forum for a while too... oddly I was trying to recall the name the other day to see if it still exists but couldn't find it anywhere, nor can I remember why I left. Spooky and dragoness were there too, but I can't recall who else came from AS to that forum. Just been too long!
Did you mean thebrokenjam, GF?

You might be thinking of the temporary home the guys made when we were having the hacker issues here and a lot of down time, it was 2012 I think and we came back here after the name change. That old temp site is still up and everything's there, I found the link and my old login was saved.
I used an old email address back in the day and manually backed up everyones contact address "just in case" Unfortunately right around the time the hacker hit here hard, The stupid mail server decided to reset my account and wiped out my contact list. We lost a good number of frequent posters during the name change because of that.

Everything here started in 2011. The forum had a different name early on, but we had a problem with a hacker so we changed the name of the forum (among other things). The original name of this forum was "tehbasement". The old url goes to some kind of Asian link fest page. I don't recommend visiting it. If you do, make sure your antivirus and firewall are up to date.
BrokenJam is what Anothersite turned into (kinda) when the AS forum closed down in 2011. It's still up, it has some pictures or something or another going on there. I think it was trying to be something like the Chive. It has some broken links that date back to 4 years ago. It doesn't look like it's being updated anymore. Technically, the web space for the AS forum still exists at the old forum url (forum.blah.blah). It's a simple webpage that has some kind of epitaph on it referencing the forum's 10 year existence and a link to a few things including BrokenJam. The Anothersite front page (not forum.blah.blah) is something else having to do with website design.
I can't speak much to G-man's forum. I didn't know it existed. Webby had one but it closed down.

Who was the hacker. Some disgruntled nob?

Thanks guys. I was aski8ng because I was mildly surprised that my apparent start date here is down as 2015. I was a part of Anothersite, then Broken Jam and the Basement but must have missed the cross over and start here in 2011. hmmm.....
