A garbage truck in Indiana burst into a massive fire ball after slamming into a railroad overpass in Indianapolis this week, shaking houses but miraculously leaving the driver survived unscathed.
Dramatic video captures the blue truck driving along East New York Street just before 8am during Monday's morning's rush hour traffic.
The truck is seen heading towards the concrete overpass before the top of the truck slams into the bridge. Seconds later the truck explodes into flames that were seen for miles.
A surveillance camera recorded the harrowing scene as debris and thick smoke surround the area after the catastrophic impact.
Mark Salcedo Jr., who lives nearby where the incident took place, and whose family's towing company captured the footage, told Fox59 News that he saw the truck driver walking away from the truck after the flames died down.
Salcedo said that overpass has about an 11-foot, 8-inch clearance, and that truck drivers often underestimate the height.
He told the news outlet he was home getting ready for work when the impact of the crash caused his house to shake. He said it was so forceful it 'almost knocked him over.'
The operator of the truck was not identified, but their truck was owned by Republic trash.
The Indianapolis Police Department and Indianapolis Fire Department rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire. No one was seriously hurt and and the bridge was later closed for inspection.
Salcedo posted a video of the explosion on his social media with the words: 'KaBoom!'
This is not the first incident Salcedo has captured and said that crashes like this one happen once or twice a month.
His Instagram page features previous incidents of vehicles colliding with the concrete overpass. He said a cement truck that hit the overpass was the most terrifying crash he'd seen but Monday's truck explosion takes second place.
