Bubba Smith, NFL star and 'Police Academy' actor, found dead at home
Former NFL star and "Police Academy" movie actor Bubba Smith was found dead Wednesday at his Los Angeles home, according to police and coroner's office officials. He was 66.
The L.A. County coroner's office said it has not determined a cause of death, but officials believe he died of natural causes.

He was a very recognizable figure on t.v. back in the 70's and 80's, but he's been off the scene for years now.
He was a good defensive end in the day...despite his comical roles he was feared on the gridiron

By all accounts, he was just as good a human being as he was a football player. I never heard anyone say one unkind word about him.
Ya for a lot of those older players they kept their shit private and together.You never heard about them turning down 30 million dollar contracts, screwing underage whores or betting
on illegal dog fighting rings to make some extra cash.Sure they had their problems, but most had good careers and football was first, then fame.
