It wasn't bad, but I happened to read something about Peele and he talked about all of this subtext for certain things...that were never shown

Don't want to disclose too much, but if you're talking about racial issues, you may want to include the scenes and not make us guess.

I own them and have read them several times. They're by far my favorite long form books by King, except for the way that Flagg died. In fact, the whole subplot surrounding that, to me, was King phoning it in. Other than the Dark Tower series, his short stories are better. Just my opinion.

For what the movie was, there should've been more to it. It didn't have to have everything from all of the books and related short stories, but it felt way too rushed. Should've been a trilogy, at the very least.

Recap from the latest round of travels:

ghost in the shell - was reasonably entertaining, but not anything that made me a strong advocate either - 5/10

transformers - the last knight - better than anticipated at least - 4/10

batman and harley quinn - this was pretty good, there was also a booty call joke from harley that she would call robin if she ran out of batteries - 7/10

the mummy - i can see how this movie killed the dark universe - 2/10

the house - pretty funny in parts - 6/10

    allied - utter dogshit - 0/10

king arthur - again a pleasant surprise based on my expectations... could tell from a mile away it was a guy ritchie movie that cast king arthur in it - 5/10

the immortal life of henrietta lacks - we work with HeLa cells all the time, this was a good background behind how fucked over the lacks family was by the system - 9/10

    Dunkirk

Great war movie. I loved the way it was filmed. Very enlightening to see another aspect of WW2.

Find the biggest TV screen possible and crank it up

Great movie, watched it the other day. Then again today with my wife. That being said, I really don't like Jamie Fox
