Not as bad as I thought it was going to be, but it was at times a little heavy handed about the whole "we've been oppressed forever" theme sometimes. At least the token white guy that had the biggest role in the film was a good guy I guess.

I thought Black Panther was absolutely ok - but nothing to rave about. What took me a while was getting used to them sounding like Jamaicans.

    Indie Sci-fi movie. Pretty good

If you liked the Vampire flick, "Let the Right One In" , you'll like this. Same idea.

B-grade R-rated sci-fi flick about a dude travelling to alpha Centauri with a female android his sole companion - who is played by pornstar Stoya. Needless to say, android spends more time with clothes off than on

    Polar

I wonder if they knew it was gonna be a piece of shit when they were making it? It's too bad, really. It had potential. I know it was a comic book, but if they made the villains less cartoonish then maybe it could have been really good.

    A Quiet Place.

FF through most of the middle of this one. I don't know what they left on the cutting room floor in post editing, but they could have cut another hour out of it and not changed the plot one bit.

One thing ruined it for me...

How about the fact they live in a world where one sound could get anyone killed. And what do they do? Have a baby!

I realize there's no way to get an abortion but a LITTLE PREVENTION could go a long way there. I thought the protagonists were so smart with all of the safety measures they created.

    Until the baby..

Yea, the baby! When I first saw the gas and the box I thought they planned to kill it. Another thing that really annoyed me was the wife tugging on the bag caught on the nail. Cmon, take two seconds and unhook it FFS. Then she steps on it and sits there with the thing in her foot for minutes. Yea, that's realistic. And why did dad drop the axe before he yelled?? At least take a swing on your way out.

I liked the movie overall, other than points brought up here

And probably the parts you FF'ed through are what I thought brilliant. The sound design or lack of it really created tension. Kinda strange how we see this movie about sound come right around the same time Bird Box comes out and that's about sight.

What's the next movie - If you smell them you're dead!

    Wait, one more

I'm no carpenter but where in the hell did that large nail pointing UP on the stairs come from? They had lived in that place for months, if not years and an upwarding pointing nail just appears?

And while I'm on the subject...who in the hell would leave it there after stepping on the &&^%! thing

I'm typically not much for slow moving suspense movies unless they are really well written to keep me interested. I just think they could have done more to keep me involved.

Yea, Why leave it there for the kids to step on? They kept showing it after she stepped on it, I was sure that it was gonna come into play again at some point. Why did they leave all the doors wide open all the time? Slap some oil on them hinges and lock up!

Liked it, I like it when there's a lot of humor in the Marvel films. Now down to just needing to see Captain Marvel before Avengers: End Game comes out at the end of April.

We'll probably go this weekend. If you go in the morning before noon here, the tix are only $5.47 each. Much better than the $9 something for the afternoon and the $12 evening/night ticket prices.
