12 Years A Slave





True story about a black man living as a free man in 1841, who gets kidnapped and thrown into the world of slavery down south.

Beautiful cinematography and great performances by the lead actors. It's a tough watch with some subdued, yet powerful lines throughout about slavery.

I liked Gravity for the technical aspect in how it was filmed...quite unique IMO
