Others were complaining about the sound in the theaters. Particularly the dialogue. The director Chris Nolan said he scored it that way, using sound as a technique...

It's the ol' situation where the effects are cranked up to 10 while the actor's sentences get washed away in the background...thought it was just me or the copy I watched. (a 1080P Imax rip...)

humble advice - crank up the sound because some interactions are hugely important and they're only one or two sentences...

Oh and some amazing titties. Bonus.
I felt the same way. Seemed like an interesting B movie with some good cinematography...and then later Katie unleashes the crazy (and the sexy..)

I didn't mean that ya knob

In almost every other role he's a great assassin, thief, driver, fighter....it was nice to see him being somewhat scared and unsure

so yeah, in closing... lickbag and fuck you

    Insomnia

Low key Al and Robin and a good performance from Hilary Swank (before she made that Million Dollar Baby abomination..)

Al Pacino's character would have been a great choice for a weekly TV show...good movie overall, a real pleasure to watch

    Open Range

Hailed as one of the last great westerns. Not so sure on that point. The interactions between Duvall and Costner seemed forced at first...like a bad improv. Then as the movie progresses things get better.

Another movie filmed in my backyard, great visuals

Overall a simple, one note story and everyone is functional with some fine western moments thrown in.

    The Whale (2013)

True story of the Essex, a whaling ship that sank after a large sperm whale rammed it. The survivors were finally picked up 95 days after the Essex sank.
It's an amazing story. Melville based his little known novel called Moby Dick on this incident
