I could wax philosophic on how bad Suicide Squad is for hours, hell maybe even days, but I really don't want to waste all that time. They (DC) better do some soul searching when making the Justice League movies, or those are gonna suck really hard too. And I'm kinda looking forward to those. Really, in my honest opinion they shouldn't even be making those yet. They should have went the Marvel route and made a bunch of stand alone films, introducing characters within the universe before bringing them all together. And they should have gotten them right (Batman doesn't kill people damn it!). Subsequently, there should have been a straight up Batman film, a straight up second Superman film, a straight up Wonder Woman film, and maybe a straight up Flash film before doing the BvS thing and definitely way before the Justice League films. DC's just trying to catch up to Marvel's release schedule for the Infinity Wars, and it's hurting DC badly.
I do hope they do better with the Wonder Woman film.
As for the DC/Marvel competition, I'm sorry, but Marvel is absolutely kicking DC's ass all over the place. All over the place. I'm looking forward to Doctor Strange in November. I'm hoping it can come close to the epicness that was Civil War. I really do hope that they do my favorite comic book character justice.
