Don't get me started I'm trying not to include spoilers in my critique....Umm Forest Whitaker and his character. WTF was that about? Waste in my eyes.

Also the eventuality of what happened to everyone and the end of the movie. I don't mind dark but we just sat through two hours getting to know these folks. For what?

The lead girl....had no abilities or jam necessary to be the badass that her character was supposed to be. I guess I didn't buy her as the hero.

Her Dad was another blah character. I like that they explained how the one Death Star vulnerability was created.

I did like the main point of the movie, being these are the people who got the Death Star plans and gave them to the Rebel Alliance.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 - not sure what all the hype is for this series. Lots of CGI, improbable effects, some attempts at humor and the ever present 70's soundtrack*

No, Brandy is not the best song ever made

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Get No Tale

I usually enjoy these epic adventures, maybe I've seen enough of them. I read that this was over 350 million to make and considering what Depp brings to it (not much recently IMO), it says franchise more than entertaining movie.

The Mummy - Lots of effects, action and money...it's too bad they can't come up with a decent plot idea or script. Since the beginning of time Mummy movies have never interested or scared me.

Despicable Me 3 - Some light chuckles, mostly from the Minions. They need to go back to what originally made the series funny, more Minions.
