I just got back from seeing this. The theater was barely a quarter full and there was like 2 black guys in the entire crowd and they were sitting together. I think one of them kept looking around at all the white people in the movie theater.

Anyway, it's not a bad movie, but it's kind of run of the mill for Marvel origin/intro films. I think they're following a generic intro script with this one. Media reviews have it ranked higher than it deserves. Honestly, I was a little bored with it. The best part was the after scene showing Bucky, but even that was "ok, now what?". It didn't really advance the narrative much besides the fact that Bucky wasn't frozen anymore. I guess it's safe to assume that they got the conditioning out of his head. The tribal kids were calling him "The White Wolf", so I'm not sure what's going to come of that.

I'm calling it the calm before the storm that will be the Infinity Wars.

    Unbroken.

Meh, not bad at all, nothing special though. I really liked the book, Louis Zamperini's story is utterly incredible and Laura Hillenbrand told it beautifully. Hard to top.

One of those cases where the real story eclipses the movie. The raft and then what followed...it was incredible.

Truly. I remember reading the book and just thinking ‘no friggin way’ every time things take yet another turn for the worst for the poor guy.

Should have reversed the order in which you watched them. You would have been left feeling better.
