Music was better when ugly people were allowed to make it.
It was good I guess, but after hearing some of the hype, I dunno, I guess I was just expecting...more? Still a good film and I would like to say that it was a good adaptation of the King novel, but it's been sooooo long since I read it, that my memories of it are foggy at best.
I liked it. I didn't think it was terribly scary, but not much in the way of horror scares me anymore nowadays anyway. Skarsgard's turn as Pennywise was decidedly different from Curry's in the 90s miniseries. I'm not sure which one I like better, I kinda forget how Pennywise was written in the novel. I'll have to find the book and read it again.

It was entertaining but still trying to figure out if it was good or not.

Entertaining
The Highwaymen.. (its about the hunt for Bonnie and Clyde)
I liked it. Netflix
Netflix's new movie The Highwaymen tells the story of Bonnie and Clyde's final days from the perspective of the men who killed them - but how does it compare to the true story? Directed by John Lee Hancock, The Highwaymen stars Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson as former Texas Rangers Frank "Pancho" Hamer and Ben Maney Gault, respectively, who are brought out of retirement and commissioned to hunt down and kill the celebrity sweethearts terrorizing the central United States.
The Highwaymen's cast also includes Kathy Bates as Governor Miriam "Ma" Ferguson, the first female Governor of Texas, who was first elected to the position after her husband, James E. Ferguson, was impeached. Following Ma Ferguson's re-election in 1932, 40 Texas Rangers quit in protest of political corruption and the rest were fired; the Rangers would remain disbanded until 1935, when they were incorporated into the Texas Department of Public Safety, and it was during this period of dormancy that The Highwaymen takes place.

I watched it, not bad
Fell asleep before the end, it was good for a Stephen King movie
I hated that movie. I like Elba as Roland, but they fucked the story up so bad. They squeezed about 4 or 5 books into 2 hours. It needed to be a trilogy at the very least. There was so much they left out. The only thing they got right that King didn't was Roland killing Flagg. That didn't happen in the novels. But it should have been a bigger build up and a way better final show down.

Juliet Naked. Funny British comedy staring Ethan Hawke
X-men: Dark Phoenix
It wasn't that bad. A few things that didn't make sense is the Phoenix force entering Jean in space but it looked as if it was already in her in the X-Men: Apocalypse movie when she unleashed her full power at the end to kill Apocalypse. So yeah, they apparently retconned that. Jean could've went a lot darker in this film like she did in the comics. Also, Jean's final scene where she took the alien into space and then disintegrated it: Why did Jean disappear after that? I get that she was doing it because she knew she couldn't control the Phoenix Force and so to protect her family she had to leave, but the way they did it could have been so much better and more clear. Again, I don't think Sophie Turner was a good Jean Grey, but she wasn't half bad here. She emoted well and didn't come off so pretentious in this one. The dialog could've been a tad better, but it wasn't Lucas bad. People slammed this film but it was better than the pile of shit that was The Last Stand. The Dark Phoenix story line is just wicked hard to adapt to film.
