Finally watched Greyhound on Apple TV.... meh. I like Hanks but thought he kinda mailed it in. The character development was completely forced into one opening scene. Some cool battle scenes but overall not good.

    Gremlins (1984)

I haven't watched it in a while. Felt like a kid again.

Dune at IMAX. Pretty amazing - I was hooked.

I actually thought IMAX brought out the best of the movie.

    Dune ( again at home).

Still great. I think Villeneuve really nails the ability to convincingly create another world. You can see the effort that went into every shot and word spoken. Casting was perfect. The score was spectacular! Criticism was that he emulated every sci-fi Trope. Wrong. Frank Herbert got there first and at the time it was a true original. So the show felt fresh to me.

Still, I can see how people might not like it with the pacing of the scenes and the focus on the "moment". ...Put it this way, if you like Venom Carnage, you probably won't like Dune.

Rogue One aside, it best all the Star Wars sequels though. Agreed?

You're saying Dune is better than The Empire Strikes Back? I don't think so.

Dee was right. That is a low bar. And you're right, Rogue One doesn't count.

    Spider-man: No Way Home

Felt good to be in a theater again. The movie rocked.

I changed my set up to get digital audio in wired headphones to I could watch it loud and the wife could keep the volume bearable.

Loved it, and am going to watch all 4 again as a binge. Lots of references to the previous installments and they did a good story-telling job explaining how 4 is possible given the ending of the ending of 3.
I wanted to be a Monk, but I never got the chants.
