    I do!

Dick Dale, etc... Some of those groups had great guitarists. Didja know that ZZ Top began more like a surf band until they injected more blues into the equation. Southern Culture on the Skids were more surf-y on their first album.

And the Canadian group Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet is a fave as well.

My old Roland Cube amp has a real echo chamber in it so it sounds very surf-y.

I will check them out - thanks Porky!

You've probably never heard of Bill Black...but so many artist ripped him off and did versions of his songs in the surf era...

His original - Memphis - was only an instrumental back then.

And his Red River Rock - redone by Johnny and the Hurricanes. I played this (on guitar with my wife on organ) at a gig that went sideways on me...this one got them back dancing...

How is it that The Ventures have not been mentioned yet?

And when I hear SMOASP mentioned, I reflexively think of The Kids In The Hall.

SCOTTS kicked ass a few years ago. Haven't heard of some of these, but will check them out.
