I keep seeing Fiona Apple: Fetch the Bolt Cutters named on a lot of respected music blogs' lists as top album of the year. I've given it 2-3 attempts at listening but I just don't like it. I'm pretty open to a lot of music and really believe in giving an album a couple tries, but I think they're way off on this one.

I was big on female artists back in the 90s, but she was one that I wasn't impressed with.

Ya I mean I'm sure she's a gifted songwriter, but I don't get the appeal of her sound and all the praise this new album is getting.. I don't think it's changed much since the 90's.
