Yeah, I dont get them, I haven't had a filling in a long time, but when I did have a few I got the white type.

Guess it is if you need it, like car insurance.

To me it definitely sounds like it. Does it cover any other dental work or just fillings? No checks, cleaning etc. ?

Yeah, its worth it. Especially when you have kids running around

2 cleanings a year, per person in the family

Well then that is most definitely worth it! Just make sure everyone goes and that way keeps their teeth in good condition for the future too. So that it wont have to ever get expensive to fix them.

Just checked my paperwork, composites are $5. So a worthwhile upgrade.

We all go twice a year, but I'm more worried about them knocking teeth out. I have had quite a few teeth knocked out of my mouth from an accident and it was not cheap to fix.

I've got dental insurance and I just payed $80 out of pocket for two fillings recently.

    Checkups are free.

Oh yeah, that is more expensive definitely. Lets hope that never happens to any of you though.

That sounds reasonable. How much does the insurance cost you?

It's expensive, something like $500 a month, but it gets taken out of my deceased father's annuity. I get that for being a disabled dependent before I turned 18. So technically speaking, even though he's not around anymore, my Dad's still taking care of me.

Im very happy it is so. Even tho it is kinda grim, cuz it is your deceased dad... But still, Im happy you save money and teeth.

I had an accident that chipped and damaged my two front teeth when I was in high school. Eventually I had to get them pulled and have a permanent bridge put in. That was 20 years ago and back then it was almost $2000, I can't even imagine what it would cost now.
