On my old Ibanez. I need to start looking into getting a new guitar. The Fender strat I have just isn't cutting it for me.
What's he got there? Martin? Takamine? Taylor? Gibson? Yamaha?

the only guitar I have now is a fancy imported acoustic....Walmarteo
I haven't bought anything since I got the Takamine years ago. I'm itching for a new shredder's guitar. I miss my Ibanez. I'd like to get rid of the 2 combo amps that I have and get a rack system too, but that's a bit much right now.

I had a nice Samick solid body electric guitar...ended up selling it because I was using my acoustic more often and the amps/cords etc got to be a pain in the ass...
kinda miss it though, had pretty good action and the pick ups weren't totally ghetto on my model
I've got an Ibanez roadster II sitting in the cupboard, greatest neck of any guitar i've ever played Got it in exchange for a spraygun i never use Got a cheapo yamaha acoustic too
If I got another Ibanez (which I'm kinda thinking I won't), I'd have to get one with a Wizard II neck. Those suckers are fast as hell. The only problem is that there's not much to them besides the truss rod, so I'd have to drop the Ernie Ball Power Slinkys that I've been using for the past 20 years to a lighter gauge string, which I absolutely despise. I hate light gauge strings. On thin necks, the Power Slinkys warp. To prevent that, you'd have to reinforce the neck with steel rods running parallel to the truss rod, the way Carvin used to do with their guitar necks.

What guage string you play? I always used 46/10g markley blue steel on the electric...... cant remember the last time i played an electric though I should really get the ibanez out this weekend and restring it
On electric, Ernie Ball Power Slinky's and they run 48-11. They're a strong case for keeping your guitar tuned a half step down at all times to relieve the pressure on the neck. They're hard to bend but since I've been using them for so long, it's natural to me. I originally started using them as practice strings back when I was just starting out and my fingers were weaker. I just kept them on in between bands one year and never looked back. Now when somebody hands me their guitar stringed with 9's, I bend the living shit out of them. It feels like I'm fretting air. And I have to be careful with my picking on the lighter gauges because I use Dunlop 2.0s (purple tortoise shells) and my picking attack is wicked heavy. I beat the living shit out of guitars.
I'm using Martin's on my Takamine. I'm not sure what gauge they are but they're pretty taut as well.

I saw that 'group' ^^^ live....she stood and faced one way holding her guitar for an hour, not moving and the same sounds kept coming out. It was horrible, she ruined at least three classic songs

I find it interesting how a famous song can be covered in a variety of ways..
You can play one instrument over the original track (badly)
