    There can be a computer-specific class, but for everything else they need to sit down and exercise their noodles instead of becoming dependent on technology to do their thinking for them.

    I agree, I think it's crazy.. We communicate with the teachers through a web portal and all kinds of shit..

    I like it, I can see exactly where my kid is at, at any time, I can track his performance and see missing assignments. This way I can nip it in the bud instead of being surprised when report cards come out.

    Oh. We have laptops in place of books, a web portal to track the kids, and a web portal for the lunch stuff.. To restrict their diets and deposit money etc.

    Seems like Occupy Wall Street is a good gauge of the temperature. I don't think the best and the brightest are ever going to go and wear hemp and hold angry signs... but it's startling when there are that many pissed off people in two dozen cities world-wide. Rough out there and more and more average, rational people are getting angry enough to do things like protesting for weeks on end. What does that say about where the extremists are at...
