I miss the old days of Lost....22 episode seasons mofo's!
24 did the same thing....they waited until January to start the season and ran all 24 episodes in 24 straight weeks
Now every stupid network seems to break up the seasons
Except HBO and Showtime, I don't think they have ever done it
When I download seasons of TV I noticed most changed right around the time of the writer's strike...first few seasons had 16-22 eps, then bam...13 ep seasons with long breaks throughout.Primarily regular network shows, not cable.

Shows that have more than 20 episodes in a season, TWD has only 13, there's no reason to have a 3 month break in the middle of the season
