I do admire a show that's not afraid to kill it's main characters off...
I've been watching Spooks, a British spy show and by season 3 I'm sure that they've had 5 main cast changes (not only for deaths)

I got that sense too....they left it open ended so she could return at one point as a zombie and really fuck Rick up...
Yeah, I don't really buy that plot line either. First, with Lori dying during childbirth (and she knew full well she was going to die) who does she think is going to nurse the baby? It's not like any of the other women on the show are pregnant/recently given birth. There's no baby formula anywhere, not even any milk or milk sources that we've seen really.a baby...in that environment

The cafeteria should have ingredients to make a suitable powdered formula for the little ankle biter.
I'm with Lance ... having a new baby is a symbolic gesture of hope, not really a smart one though.

They should have aborted the baby as soon as she found out she was pregnant. it's ignorant and irresponsible to bring a baby into that environment. FFS they can barely take care of themselves and have members of the group dying/injured from zombie attacks on a fairly regular basis, how the hell are they going to be able to take care of a baby too?
They should have eaten the baby...his little heart and brain will imbibe them all with mighty warrior strength
