Been up since 01:30. Thunder storm with heavy rain moved through. More on the way later today. Hit the road at 05:30 to travel east of Houston (Liberty, TX) to survey an old junk ass rig they want to put back to work. 2.5hrs drive to go roughly 90 miles.

Just got home. Now I gotta head to Avery Island, Louisiana. I'll probably stop in Beaumont or Lake Charles and get hotel. Hopefully the evening storms that were supposed to build up on the East RX coast dont.

We usually have a nice warm, dry September in Vancouver but it's just mostly gray and rainy this year. Too bad.

First morning that I actually broke out a jacket when leaving the house. It's only been as low as the mid 40's before this morning, but today was a bit chilly, it's currently 35° (2C).

Another chilly start to the day, currently 34° (1C) and we have our first chance of snow in the city tonight. It's already snowed in the mountains.

Looks like we're about to get smoked by a cyclone. They're calling it a 'double bomb' because it's two huge fronts coming in. Maybe it'll knock out power and I won't be able to work tomorrow

We're supposed to get 30+ENE mph winds and rain starting tonight and 24 hours later is the same but opposite wind direction. It WAS looking to peak about the time I'm supposed to get on a boat to go to work, Was looking at possible cancellations of trips but now it appears to be delayed just enough to get me TO work.

That's what it was here over the weekend. Made for a miserable muzzle loading hunt.

You hunt with a muzzleloader? I'm so curious to hear more, do you have any pics you mind sharing?! That's really neat.

Muzzleloading season is a 2 week precursor to modern gun which starts in a few weeks. I generally prefer ML because there aren't near as many fools walking around the woods with a loaded weapon. The downside to it is the warmer temps, more foliage still in the way and the ticks/chiggers are still out.
Archery has an even longer season but I never got into it.
