My Dad used to keep a fair amount of hanging plants and flowers in the backyard. Buddy came over recently and first thing out of his mouth - Boy, sure is barren back here now.

I don't plant a garden and most hanging plants in pots are 25 bucks up here. I can't afford 200 dollars for flowers and told my buddy FU in polite terms.
