I have some craftsman stuff, it does break more easily and wears out faster. Making special trips to Sears to exchange brokens gets to be a pain + if you do it too often they won't honor the warranty as apparently using them professionally voids it.

yeah, there are cheaper tools over here with lifetime warranties too.... doesn't mean they aren't shit though They'll be fine for a DIYer, but as pony says, if you use them every day, they son't last for long. One of my ratchets was ~£30 and I'm on my 4th one because the flex heads keep falling off.... I know a guy that's had a snap on one for over 20 years and never had a problem with it.... they are just better

I bet if you had a choice between using a fancy, expensive mouse and keybord set and the £12 one I'm using to work with every day, you wouldn't choose mine because, even though they do the same job, one is still shit

I do use some really cheap stuff. Those little right angle air grinders are 150 bucks off the tool truck and last a couple years tops. They are 12 bucks at Harbor Freight and last nearly as long. I buy them in bulk and put a different attachment in each one.

HA! my mini air powered disc cutter, drill and tin snips were only 15 quid each and all my electrical stuff other than my multimeter are cheap, the drill is pants though... if you want to drill a 8mm hole, you use a 5mm bit

Yea, these don't work too hot for drilling, even a cutoff wheel bounces around a lot. They're great with a grinding disk on them though.

I do like the Snap On fine tooth ratchets.

Car tires and a 4 wheel alignment. $588

I went out to take care of a 15 minute errand (which I need to redo), and 3 hours later I've got a brand new set of cheap Goodyear tires and an alignment.
