No....long-ish story....we buy all our dog food from Chewy.com because it's a higher end food and we can get it cheaper online plus there's no sales tax and free shipping. So in the long run we end up saving quite a bit getting it there over the course of a year. Usually I order two bags at a time so there's two different flavors for the dogs so they don't get bored with the food. Well, about 2-1/2 to 3 months ago, I placed an order and only one of the two boxes was delivered by FedEx even though when you tracked the missing box it says it was delivered. Well, I gave it a couple of days and still no box, so I got hold of Chewy and they said no problem and replaced that missing box free of charge, had it in just a couple of days. Well, fast forward to early last week and I came home fromk work and my dad said one of the neighbors with a similar address brought the box over. They had been out of the country for a few months and one of their neighbors saw the box delivered and stuck it in their garage because they knew they were going to be gone for awhile. So when they came back, they got the box from their neighbor and saw it was mis-delivered and brought it over to us. Now that I had the box, I didn't want any bad karma so I got hold of Chewy again and offered to pay for the box. They said no way, it's yours to keep, it wasn't my fault it was delivered wrong, but if we really wanted to do something with it, to donate it to a shelter. I said will do
So instead of delivering that bag to the shelter, we kept it and just went to Walmart and bought a lot more food for almost the same cost (we spent about $15 more than what the bag was worth). Granted, we bought lower quality food to donate to the shelter, but we were able to get a LOT more of it for the money and it will go a lot farther out at the shelter than one 30 lb bag would. We ended up getting a 50 lb bag of dog food, a 13 lb bag of adult cat food, a 7 lb bag of kitten food, and a 24 pack of canned wet cat food for the shelter.
