$1300 worth of shocks, struts and tires for my truck
Just replaced the front shocks/struts, couldn't afford to do all four. One of the front shocks was leaking and the handling was getting progressively worse. I guess that the shocks and struts on the front end of a Toyota are an assembly? That's what the shop said and what one of the guys here at work confirmed. And I was trying to get one more winter out of the set of tires I had on, but after the last couple of storms, I might as well have had racing slicks on my truck.
Not sure on your truck but typically a "loaded" strut contains everything, strut, spring, upper plate, etc. A standard strut is just the "shock" part.
Yeek. sorry dude. Warranty work?
