I need to get a new universal remote. My old harmony 700 is wearing out. Other than that, it's been a great remote. I've had it for maybe 8 years or so.

You can either go with the 650 or the 665, they are both replacements for the 700 (which is discontinued) and almost identical. The 665 is a slightly upgraded version of the 650, but for all intents and purposes, they are the same remote. I love them, we have one in every room that has a TV.

Soon as I get off my ass, I'll be buying an oil and air filter for the mower.

Went with my wife and bought a used Audi Q5. Really nice vehicle, test drove a few similar cars but this was the winner, and the car she swore from the start of residency that she'd get when she passed her boards, so she's a very happy camper. Once the certified per-owned warranty is up though, that thing has to go

Yes, expensive to fix but if it turns out to be a really reliable car you might be able to get a couple extra years out of it before the maintenance cost really start to climb. I always did like Audi even though they are a pain to work on.

I have been using the Acoustic Research ARRX18G XSight remotes for years but they finally stopped supporting them and I LOVED them. I have had 3 because they are so easy to program, do IR and RF, macros and supper easy learning.

With my new media room build I have acquired a Logitech Harmony 1100 to run it. Do you find the Harmony pretty easy to program?

There's a slight learning curve because (at least with the 650 and 665) you have to program them using the Harmony desktop software to program it. But after you get familiar with using it, it's easy-peasy. I love our Harmony remotes.

The XSight remotes had an online cloud data base you programmed from. You created an account and plugged the remote into the computer using usb. There you built and organized your programs and then you saved it to the remote and the cloud.

    Sound similar?

I can post pix from home of the software, but it sounds similar. It saves all your settings (I think the Harmony software can store up to 6 different remotes) and you just do the changes in the software and when it's ready, you plug the Harmony in with a micro USB cord, it downloads the changes, and it's all set. And the Harmony 650 and 665 can control up to 10 different devices. Not sure about the one you have. But I love the Harmony remotes.
