I've tried VR units that cost more than triple this price but never bought one myself because of the price and need for a high end PC, but the tech is now far more affordable, and does not require a PC - the oculus store is full of great games and experiences completely wirelessly.

The resolution is extremely high and the controllers work wonderfully. You can grip and grab things, you can play shooting games and actually aim down sight and reload mags and all that like a real weapon. It has built in speakers and a mic to play with friends over the internet.

I could go on and on but you really just have to try it to get it. Been playing some silly games that are hilarious, or even just watching youtube on a giant screen that takes up your entire field of vision is a blast.

My wife and I tried this one game that's kind of like ultimate frisbee in zero gravity... I just about fell over at first. You definitely have to get past the motion sickness and ease into it, but the experience is unreal. Too much fun... highly recommend.
Alright after having this for one month, I can say this is THE most fun I've had gaming with friends, and I've been gaming for 25+ years since I was very young.

We're playing this battle royal game where you and 2 friends jump into a map with 9 other teams and loot to find guns and gear, and try and be the last time alive as the map gets smaller with a death zone closing in. It's a game format that's been hot for a few years that I wasn't really into, but it's totally different in VR. You actually have to reload your weapon, inserting a mag (or shells in your shotgun), pull the charging handle or slide. You can aim down sight, throw grenades, revive your teammates by pulling out medical gear. You can also climb walls, bust through windows, paraglide around. But the goofiness is the best part. You wait for the round to start all in a main area with everyone all on open mics. I've seen stretching, dance parties... virtual handjobs, you name it. It's absolutely ridiculous what you can do in VR. I know people are excited about the new playstation and xbox, but for my money and only having a few hours to game a week these days, VR is way more fun.

    A 2000's era Carvin X100 2x12 combo amplifier.

They're not being made anymore, I wanted it, and if somebody else grabbed it, then there's no telling when and where one would pop up again. I had the half stack in '92-'96 and I loved the sound, but couldn't move the bastard because the 4x12 cabinet wasn't made for moving by a guy in wheelchair. I've got 2 inch casters waiting for this amp. It's coming from a Guitar Center in Denton, Texas.

I bought myself a little treat as well. Have a ton of writing over the next month so I upgraded my monitor to a high quality 27 inch 4K beauty. One single small USB cable provides all the connectivity and power I need.

I'm working remotely at the moment, and it's a perfect all-in-one for office work and entertainment.

It does a little, but I'm tall so my view is a bit more like the first pic
